This lot includes three articles of antique children's clothing by Paul Poiret, catalogued from top to bottom, counter-clockwise.

THE FIRST
Child's beach dress/coverup, made of hand-woven silk toweling. Stripes near hem and woven design at neckline. Fringe trim at hem. Unlined.

Exhibited at the Musée Jacquemart-Andre, Poiret le Magnificent, Paris, 1879-1944, January-April 1974. #49 in catalogue.

THE SECOND
Child's sleeveless dress in sapphire blue plissé silk with white dots throughout. Created by Poiret for his daughter, Martine; hence the "M" stitched in the collar. Snap closures at shoulder seams. Thread belt loops at waist. Unlined.

THE THIRDThe overall condition is poor to fair, in consideration of the antique nature of the garment. Exterior and interior fabrics have deteriorated slightly/weakened due to age. Some discoloration to label. Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
